I’m finding myself working on more projects where I can’t use the full framework but still want to use the UnifiedASP DAL. These are mostly reworks of challenged projects as well as a few where MVC makes more sense than web forms.
I went ahead and added a project to CodePlex that is just the DAL. It is available in both C# and VB.Net which I’m sure will make a few people happy.

Future plans for this who knows?
I have a C# port of this sitting in SVN that one of my devs did a while ago. I can’t tell you if it’s good or bad but it works. I might release it one of these days.
I may one day have a port of this for ASP.Net MVC.
I may update the CodeGen to deal with just the DAL or also produce an MVC version.
